Small Sided Games Resource Page

Short-sided games (SSG) are simplified games of soccer played with fewer than the adult number of 11 players on the field.  The global soccer community has embraced SSG for more than a decade and it is endorsed by every soccer organization in the USA and virtually the rest of the world!  An overwhelming amount of research has been done regarding SSG and it is based on the way children learn.  Just as in their academic education, their soccer education is progressive – their games will grow in complexity and difficulty as the players mature.
