Prairie Cities Soccer League (PCSL) is a recreational league offering soccer to children ages 4 to 19.  The League is a member of the Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA).  PCSL's philosophy is Everyone Plays.  Our program's goal is for kids to play soccer so we mandate the every player on every team must play at least 50% of every game regardless of practice or game attendance.

PCSL is a not-for-profit organization that relies primarily on volunteers.  All of the coaches, Board Members and team helpers are volunteers.

A season consists of 6 games in the fall and 6 games in the spring.  All games are played at the PCSL Complex which is located at the intersection of Ireland Grove Road and Towanda Barnes at 3808 Ireland Grove Rd in Bloomington.

Games are played on Saturdays between 8 am and 4 pm and some are on Tuesday nights at 5:30 pm.  Practices times and location are up to the discretion of the coach.  Generally they are once or twice per week, lasting 45 to 75 minutes depending on the player's age group. They generally take place in the public parks or green space near your neighborhood.  Practices are not held at the PCSL Complex.

PCSL Mission Statement

PCSL History

We are excited to announce the merger of the Prairie Cities Soccer League (PCSL) Board of Directors and the Illinois Fire Juniors (IFJ) Board of Directors! In July, both boards unanimously voted to come together as one board. While finances will remain separate, we will work together in other areas such as uniforms and marketing to gain efficiencies.

With this merger, we have several board openings - IFJ Director of Operations, PCSL Secretary and PCSL Communications Director positions. An IFJ Operations Director oversees the IFJ Club Administrators and coordinates Try Outs and must have the ability to discreetly handle confidential information, work well with others and commit to serving on the board for at least two years. The PCSL Secretary and Communications Director assists in running monthly board meetings, publishes monthly minutes, and assists with all communications. must have the ability to discreetly handle confidential information, work well with others and commit to serving on the board for at least two years. We also have multiple assistant opportunities available. While these are not voting board positions, there are many chances to utilize your unique talents. Interested individuals can email to submit your name or gather more information. This is an exciting time for PCSL as we collaborate with the Illinois Fire Juniors and Chicago Fire.
