U5 & U6 programs will provide players, parents and coaches who are new to the game an introduction to soccer in a positive nurturing environment. Craig Lee, Youth Technical Director and FC Central Illinois professional staff will oversee the program.

The U5 & U6 programs will be held indoors at Game Time Gym, 404 Olympia Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704.  Being indoors is a huge benefit as we will not have to battle the weather & wind playing outdoors brings.  It also allows us to a provide a more organized, controlled and positive learning environment for your player.

PCSL uniforms are not required for the program.

 

Spring Only 2024

The Spring U5 & U6 programs will begin the week of April 1 and will last for 6 weeks.  Sessions will be Monday through Thursday from 5pm-6pm (U5) or 6pm-7pm (U6).  Each session is limited to 40 participants.  Your child will attend just 1 night per week.  Players will have a combination of training and scrimmage in each 1-hour session.

Cost:  Spring only fee $85 (due at time of placement).  Scholarships for reduced registration fees available to those who fall within income guidelines.

U5 & U6 players will be placed on nights where there are openings.  There is no guarantee of a specific night or time, it is all dependent on spots available.  Friday night may be used, depending on wait list registration numbers.  We will contact you prior to the season regarding your child's day/time assignment.

Spring Only 2024 Wait List Policy

PCSL is a recreational soccer league for 1st through High School age players.

The League is a member of the Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA). PCSL is a not-for-profit organization that relies primarily on volunteers. All of the coaches, Board Members and team helpers are volunteers.

PCSL's philosophy is Everyone Plays.

• Separate divisions for boys & girls at U7 through U12, U14 & HS is co-ed
• U7 & U8 Games will be played on Saturdays at Game Time Gym.
• U9-HS Games will be played on Saturdays at Eastview Christian Church Soccer Fields.  Games are typically between 8am-4pm
• 6 games in Spring
• Practices held during week by a volunteer coach. Each coach sets his/her own practice days, time and location, this will be communicated in August by coach
• Volunteer coaches needed for each team. Please consider coaching your child's team!
• Uniforms are required

PCSL forms teams, to the extent possible, based on the location the player lives in. We do not look at specific neighborhoods/addresses, but only the player’s location code. Birth date, gender and location are the primary criteria for assigning players to teams at the beginning of every season. Location involves the residence of players as well as the residence of the closest available volunteer coach.

 

Spring Only 2024

Registering for the Spring Only Wait List indicates that you would like to be placed on a team only for the Spring Season.  Placing a player on the Spring Only Wait List, does not guarantee that there will be a space for your player on a team or that the team assignment will be in your location.  Spring Only placement is done on a first-come, first-serve basis and is dependent on openings that become available on current teams.

The office will contact players regarding team availability & placement prior to the spring season. If your player is placed on a team, you will be provided with instructions to complete registration by submitting payment.

U7- HS: The cost of playing Spring Only is $100/player.  Scholarships for reduced registration fees available to those who fall within income guidelines.

Uniforms -  Uniform shirts can only be purchased online through the online store. There are also other soccer essentials offered (shorts, socks, spirit wear, ball) that can be purchased as well. All online orders will be delivered directly to your home.  > Online Store

You need to know what your Location Code is BEFORE you begin the on-line registration process.  Your Location Code can be found by locating where you live on PCSL's Location Map. Location-based teams tend to be reasonably balanced by skill, make efficient use of available practice fields throughout McLean County, and keep commuting distances at a minimum for most families. The League continues to refer to school as a secondary consideration when possible. Be aware that PCSL does not assign players based on last year's team, carpooling arrangements, coach preferences, scheduling conflicts and other individual requests. Please do not make these requests when registering.
